Moses Uvere ( @mosesuvere ) | "Those That Are Mine" Album Review

Moses Uvere is a special friend to the site. He was not only one of the first artists featured on "Chicans Choice", but he was a fan as well. I always knew Moses as a consistent artist that stayed real and had a true love for God and his people. As time went on, he began to grow in ministry and I didn't see him do music as much. Recently though, he surprised me with his new album "Those That Are Mine". I was more than excited to listen and review his project as I heard the first single.

LEGACY- FAVORITE BAR: "I'M STILL A SOUTHERN MAN WITH A BROKEN HEART/ BUT THE HOOD RAISED ME, SO I'M TORN APART" If Moses were to stop rapping and sum up his goals and accomplishments, he could end his career with this song. Not only does this song serve as a lesson on how to be a man, husband and father, but it's a great track to end his set performance with. This track (and video) also serves as a love letter to God and his family that they can always cherish which makes this a REPEAT OFFENDER!

SO YOU KNOW- FAVORITE BAR: "I AM ROYALTY, WHEN THEY NOTICE ME/ WOE TO ME, IF I'M THINKING LOWER THAN I OUTTA BE" This track is a bop! This track just doesn't serve as an anthem, but as an affirmation to those that believe and respect Deuteronomy 28:13. I was very impressed with the production and felt as though Moses rode the beat very well and it really stands out on the album. This is my favorite track off the album and is a REPEAT OFFENDER!

Overall, this is Moses best work yet! The key word surrounding this project is maturity. The listener can hear maturity within his mindset as well as his lyrical abilities. We can hear his maturity when it comes to his family. He has always put priorities in their proper place, but he takes it even a step further with this project. With tracks like "Man of The House", "Wait for me" and the interludes with his family, this is clearly a album that declares his love for his life. Moses shows us that he doesn't fall in the pitfall of choosing music over family and that he understands that his first ministry is his family. This is a good listen for hip hop fans as well as for any father. A listen to this project will give you a Mirror Moment in truly understanding priorities, responsibility and to own "those that are mine". Spread The Soup!
